NBN HFC Headend Rollout
Linktech was awarded the project to rollout the NBN HFC Headend technology as part of the technology upgrade of the Network. Our scope was to develop a National “Pre-staging” facility that had to build, stage and transport over 800 racks over a 18-month period. Racks were pre-cabled and installed with Power, IP Core Routers and CWDM technology. They were then powered up, loaded with config and tested with generic configurations within the staging facility to enable initial testing for Operational status. Linktech was also accountable for all Logistics of required build materials and shipping to National sites across Australia.
When onsite, Linktech had the accountability to install the racks and cables (RF and Fibre-, and then integrate them into the Network, aligning all transmission systems and levels to Network requirements.
